About the College of Agriculture
The College of Agriculture offers a degree in Agricultural Technology. This is a 4-year program aimed to equip the learners with knowledge and skills in agricultural advances and technologies. This is carried out to grow a community of self-reliant, responsible and technically competent agriculturists of the new millennium. The development of the students’ capacities and capabilities to integrate effectively into the system is the outmost concern. “Learning by doing: A Hands on Approach” as the College motto underline adaptive research efforts on Plant Sciences, Soil Sciences, Animal Sciences, Crop Protection, Entrepreneurial and Farming Systems in the attainment of sustainable agriculture. Students are deployed to corporate farms/ government offices for Occupational Internship Program (OIP) and Participatory Technology/Project Development and Hands-on experience in and out of campus. The Agriculture College was built through the years with solid foundation to cater appropriate discovery-based learning exercises for sustainable production amongst aspiring farmers in Davao region.
