Faculty members from Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc. (RMC) actively participated as official delegates in the 19th Ambassador’s Lecture Series hosted by Holy Cross College of Davao, featuring the distinguished lecture titled “Norway in the Philippines: Opportunities, Culture, and Diplomacy.”
The delegation was organized through the initiative of Prof. Antonio A. Solomon Jr. of the RMC International Relations Office (IRO), who extended invitations to various academic departments to strengthen global academic engagement and international collaboration.
Representing the College of Arts and Sciences were Prof. Mark Jan N. Bergavera and Prof. Zedney B. Villados, while the College of Teacher Education was represented by Prof. Amorlita B. Asuncion and Prof. Lita G. Cadungog.
This participation highlights RMC’s continued commitment to internationalization in higher education, providing faculty members with meaningful exposure to global perspectives, diplomacy, and cross-cultural exchange.
Insights from the Lecture
The event featured H.E. Christian Halaas Lyster, Ambassador of Norway to the Philippines, who shared valuable insights on strengthening Norway–Philippines relations, focusing on:
- Strengthening diplomatic ties and bilateral cooperation
- Promoting cultural exchange for mutual understanding
- Expanding economic and educational opportunities
- Advancing sustainability and innovation in global partnerships
The lecture underscored the importance of international collaboration in shaping future-ready educators and globally competitive institutions.
