๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ 22, 2026 โ ๐๐ง ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ข๐ณ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ, ๐๐ง๐.โ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฑ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ฌ, the Office of Community Relations and Extension Services (CRES), in coordination with the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), conducted a community outreach visit to the institutionโs adopted community.
The initiative aimed not only to provide immediate assistance to families but also to strengthen the institutionโs continuing partnership with the community through meaningful interaction, solidarity, and sustained presence.
The activity was led by Dean Dionisio M. Carampatana, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education, together with Prof. Emily Estorba, CRES Coordinator; Christelle Marie Cruspero; four student interns; and one ROTC representative.
During the visit, the team distributed essential food provisions to 30 families, with each household receiving five kilograms of rice and assorted canned goods. Beyond the material assistance, the initiative sought to communicate a deeper message of care and reassuranceโthat the families remain valued partners of the institution and that RMC continues to stand with the community it has committed to serve.
The outreach also created opportunities for meaningful conversations with residents. Through direct interaction, members of the team were able to listen to the experiences of the families, better understand their circumstances, and recognize areas where future extension initiatives may provide more responsive and sustainable support.
Such engagement highlights the importance of community extension programs that move beyond one-time assistance. By fostering dialogue and maintaining meaningful relationships with partner communities, the institution strengthens the foundation for programs that are grounded in actual community needs and shared responsibility.
The participation of CRES and CCJE personnel, student interns, and the ROTC representative likewise reflected a collective institutional commitment to social responsibility, volunteerism, and service-oriented education. It provided students with an opportunity to experience how professional formation can be connected with compassion, civic responsibility, and active community involvement.
Through initiatives such as this, Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc. continues to strengthen its relationship with its adopted community while pursuing extension programs that are responsive, collaborative, and sustainable.
The successful conduct of the activity reaffirmed the institutionโs commitment to โbeing there for the communityโโnot merely through words, but through concrete action, genuine engagement, and sustained service.
