(๐ฅ๐ ๐), ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ (๐๐๐ฆ), took a significant step toward internationalization after completing a benchmarking and academic exchange visit with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) of the Vietnam National University (VNU) on November 25, 2025.
The RMC delegationโled by Dr. Annbeth B. Calla, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, together with Dr. Aglu M. Cayetano, Liberal Arts Coordinator, Prof. Cristina C. Ariate, Community Extension Coordinator, and faculty members Prof. Reynaldo S. Dapedran and Prof. Jog Lawndale Marvim Oinalโwas formally welcomed by key USSH officials. These included Dr. Tat Thanh, Vice President for External Affairs, Dr. Trinh Thi Linh, Head, Psychology Department, Dr. Sah Hang Head, Journalism and Communication Department, and Dr. Sweet Head, Sociology and Social Work Department.
The engagement focused on academic benchmarking, collaborative discussions, and the presentation of a proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that outlines joint initiatives between the two academic institutions.
Both universities exchanged best practices in instructional delivery, faculty development, research productivity, and community extension programs. ๐ฅ๐ ๐ ๐ต๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ, ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐ฑ๐ฒ:
-Co-hosting the Global Exchange Conference, a platform for international academic dialogue.
-Inviting distinguished speakers and scholars for joint conferences.
-Recognizing VNUโUSSH as an affiliate partner in RMC international activities.
-Promoting VNU programs such as scholarships, training, and short courses to RMC students and faculty.
-Establishing visiting professor programs to enhance faculty expertise.
-Developing shared research and publication opportunities to increase regional and international research visibility.
-Launching collaborative research projects in priority fields.
-Expanding global opportunities through international student internships.
-Integrating COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) into classroom instruction to allow cross-cultural virtual learning.
-Towards a Formalized International Partnership
During the discussions, both institutions expressed readiness to finalize and sign the Memorandum of Agreement that will formalize their cooperation in global exchange, research collaboration, faculty mobility, and student development.
RMC Dean Dr. Annbeth B. Calla emphasized the importance of the partnership, saying that the initiative aligns with the College of Arts and Sciencesโ vision of promoting academic excellence and global competence among faculty and students.
The meeting concluded with a symbolic exchange of tokens and a commitment to deepen collaboration through future conferences, student programs, and joint research endeavors.
The RMC College of Arts and Sciences continues to expand its international linkages, empowering students and faculty with broader academic opportunities and strengthening its position as a globally engaged higher education institution.
