On November 24, 2025, RMC’s College of Business Administration successfully hosted the 4th Research Colloquium, themed “Empowering Learning Through Business Research.” This academic event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their research skills, critical thinking, and innovative approaches to real-world business challenges.
The program began with a message from the Dean herself, Dr. Janine Sato-Betonio, setting the tone for a day of insightful presentations. Participants were inspired by Dr. Nelia B. Aga, Research Director, who highlighted the importance of research in shaping future business leaders.
Our distinguished panel of adjudicators, Dr. Julius Getigan, Prof. Antonio A. Solomon Jr., and Prof. Demi Sevilla-Claros, evaluated the student presentations with meticulous attention to quality, originality, and relevance. The research presentations covered a range of topics, including AI applications in real estate, frameworks for e-commerce micro-enterprises, policy initiatives for second-hand vehicle customers, remote work impacts on employee behavior in BPOs, and paperless billing systems in Davao City.
Awards were conferred for Best in Paper, Best in Abstract, and Best Presenter, recognizing outstanding research excellence and scholarly rigor. The colloquium concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Alminda M. Fernandez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, reaffirming RMC’s commitment to fostering research-driven learning and developing competent, innovative business professionals.
