Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc. (RMC), through the Office of the Internationalization Affairs and Linkages, successfully conducted the AppliedHE University Rankings Orientation with the theme “Preparing RMC for Global Recognition.” The session, held via MS Teams, gathered RMC Deans, Program Heads, faculty leaders, and administrators as part of the institution’s continuing commitment to internationalization and academic excellence.
The orientation highlighted the importance of engaging with AppliedHE, an international ranking system that evaluates both public and private higher education institutions based on innovation, quality, learner satisfaction, and global relevance. The resource speakers from AppliedHE provided a comprehensive overview of the ranking framework, submission requirements, and strategic processes that RMC may adopt in preparation for its future participation.
Throughout the session, participants learned about the key indicators used in AppliedHE rankings, the value of institutional data management, and the long-term impact of ranking visibility in strengthening RMC’s global presence. The discussion also emphasized the role of collaborative planning among school leaders to ensure that RMC meets the standards required for international assessment.
As part of RMC’s transparency and continuous learning initiative, the narrative report and recorded video link of the orientation will be made available to all departments. This will allow those who were unable to attend to revisit the essential discussions and recommendations shared during the session.
