71 CTE Interns Complete Teaching Practicum, Cap Off Year with Culminating Rites

A total of 71 student interns officially completed their teaching practicum across four local campuses, marking the end of their field experience with a series of culminating activities held on March 27, 28, 29, and April 6, 2026.

The events celebrated the successful deployment of interns at Davao City National High School (Main and Extension), Jose P. Rizal Elementary School, and the RMC Integrated Basic Education department. The activities were anchored on the theme: “Advancing Quality Education: Empowering Interns in Lifelong Impact (SDG 4),” aligning the program with global goals for inclusive and equitable education.

Recognition and Awarding Ceremonies

A central part of the program was the formal recognition of the collaborative efforts between the interns and their respective host schools.

• For the Mentors: In a gesture of gratitude, the program organizers presented certificates of appreciation and tokens to the cooperating teachers and school administrators. These awards recognized their vital role in supervising and molding the interns during their immersion.

• For the Interns: The 71 finishers were officially presented with their certificates of completion, signifying that they have met all the rigorous requirements of the internship program and are now prepared for the professional world.

Empowering Future Educators

The theme emphasized the transition from being learners to becoming influencers in the education sector. By completing their assignments in diverse settings—ranging from large public high schools to integrated private basic education units—the 71 interns gained a comprehensive understanding of the Philippine educational landscape.

The successful conclusion of the internship program underscores the commitment of participating schools to provide rigorous, hands-on training that prepares future teachers for the challenges of the 21st-century classroom.
