On November 11, 2021, around 9,000 families were evacuated to temporary shelter after torrential rains caused rivers to overflow and flood residential areas. Among the affected areas is San Rafael 10-A wherein many of the Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc. students and employees reside.
The NSTP I and NSTP II students headed by their director, Cristina C. Ariate and faculty, Liliosa Moneva under the domain CWTS joined as one to create a relief program catering to areas affected by the flood. The Distribution of the said relief was also supported by our active ROTC Officers.
The students and faculty arrived at San- Rafael 10-A and were welcomed by some of the barangay representatives who helped facilitate the program.
It was evident that most of the residents were still recovering from the calamity as they continued to repair their homes and clean their areas. Amidst the damage brought by the flood, Barangay San Rafael 10-A residents are hopeful that all will be well.
