The scheduled one-day event was made into two days because there were some legitimate confusion on the rules and so the presentation of the winners was postponed the following day, June 16, 2022.  The resolution of the issue was another validation of RMC’s  resilience since the issues were discussed clearly, peacefully, and decisively by student and teacher representatives of the participating departments.

The closing remarks were delivered by Cris Ann Sawangan (CCJE), the Supreme Student Government Vice President for Internal Affairs and Acting  President.  These were her remarks:

“Good afternoon everyone.

Victory is in the quality of competition and not the final score. I would like to congratulate all the contestants of each department, the faculty and staff, especially the academic unit heads  for supporting their very own departments

After all the preparations, we still finished the Intramurals peacefully and successfully. We would like to ask an apology yesterday about the issue.  Thanks to the cooperation of student and teacher representatives, it was resolved.

As a popular saying goes, “Whatever the mind can conceive, the body can achieve.”  At this point, it is appropriate to recognize the people behind the success of our Intramurals, people  who have evidently been proven to have the capacity to make things happen. We acknowledge our very active OSSA Director,  Sir Amado Ancla, his  staff Ms.  Ivy Bandoy, and OSSA Coordinator Ms. Rosalie Caminero. We acknowledge also the support of the officers of the Local (Departmental) Student Councils and each one of the student contest participants, coaches, and trainers. We recognize the officers of the Supreme Student Government as well as the SSG Adviser Ms. Cristina Ariate.  Many thanks to our technical team-Fred Juntilla, Ms. Rosalie Caminero, and Ivy Bandoy.  Special thanks to Ms. Cristine Potestas Agaton for the beautiful Zoom background graphics. Our sincere thanks as well to our lovely and lively program host, our Mutya ng RMC 2022, Ms. Hershey Clavite.

Finally, our heartfelt gratitude goes to the RMC Administration whose support made this event possible:  Chairman of the Board/Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Leo Tereso A. Magno;  President, Dr. Evelyn Abellera Magno; Vice President for Administration, Atty. Ernesto Raphael V. Robillo; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Lourdes C. Cabintoy; and Vice President for Finance, Mr. Lorenzo Raphael L. Magno.

To the entire Rizalian Community, mabuhay tayong lahat!  Pro Deo Et Patria!

The program ended with the community singing of the RMC Hymn, the version that contains some photos of the intramural contests during pre-pandemic times.

(OSSA Director Amado S. Ancla, June 16, 2022)
