RMC’s 76th College Commencement Exercises: A Celebration of Innovation, Leadership, and Technological Advancements:

On July 12, 2024, Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc. marked a significant milestone with its 76th College Commencement Exercises. Held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, the ceremony embraced the theme: “Innovate and Inspire: Encourage Creativity, Leadership, and Technological Advancements in Future Endeavors,” reflecting the institution’s commitment to fostering forward-thinking leaders.

The ceremony commenced with a grand processional featuring the Mace, Candidates for Graduation, Faculty Members, Deans of Colleges, Administrative Officers, Members of the Board, and the Guest Speaker. The event began with the entrance of colors and a doxology led by the RMC Choral Group, under the direction of Mr. Amado Ancla, RMC Scholarship Director.

The presentation of candidates for graduation was a highlight, with each college represented by its dean:

– Dr. Annbeth B. Calla, Dean, College of Arts and Sciences

– Dr. Agnes P. Mascariñas, Dean, College of Teacher Education

– Dr. Janine Sato-Betonio, Dean, College of Business Administration

– Dr. Anastacia G. Notarte, Dean, College of Agriculture

– Dr. Noel R. Ponsaran, Dean, College of Criminal Justice Education

Following the presentation, the Investiture was conducted by RMC’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alminda M. Fernandez, and the Conferment of Degrees and Titles was led by RMC School President, Dr. Evelyn Abellera Magno. The distribution of diplomas was overseen by Vice President for Finance, Mr. Lorenzo Raphael L. Magno, and Vice President for Administration, Atty. Ernesto Raphael V. Robillo.

Academic and non-academic honors were awarded by Dr. Magno and represented by Dr. Fernandez. A standout moment was the address by Ms. Natividad Divina, a Cum Laude graduate in a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Tulong Dunong Program scholarship grantee, and the recipient of the Gold Academic Excellence Medal awarded by the Commission on Higher Education and UniFAST. Her inspiring speech recounted her journey of overcoming hardships through resilience, motivating her fellow graduates

Dr. Agnes P. Mascariñas introduced the commencement speaker, Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela Cerna, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Center for International Affairs and Linkages of Central Mindanao Colleges, Kidapawan City. Dr. Dela Cerna shared invaluable insights and lessons to guide the graduates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

The ceremony concluded with the Induction to the RMC Alumni led by Mr. Amado S. Ancla, School Alumni Relations Office Director. This was followed by an Oath of Loyalty to the Alma Mater, administered by Ms. Ronibe B. Malingin, a Cum Laude graduate in Bachelor of Secondary Education.

The event culminated with the singing of the RMC Hymn, symbolizing the spirit of loyalty and excellence that the graduates will carry forward, honoring their alma mater and striving for the highest standards in their future endeavors.

This year’s commencement exercises not only celebrated the achievements of the graduates but also underscored RMC’s dedication to nurturing innovative and inspiring leaders equipped to make significant contributions to society.
