RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM: RMC GRADUATE SCHOOL

Studies are not produced just to be displayed to gather dust and cobwebs nor be made simply for compliance with requirements. There are several ways to show their utilization. Among them is to give awareness of their results by delivering them orally in research colloquium, fora, conferences, congresses, and the like. CMO 15 s, 2019 specifies that they are to be published in peer-reviewed journals which is another means of making their results known for greater scope of analyses, conclusions and even for some sorts of recommendations when asked for. This is a way to prove their legitimacy. Bases on decision-making, probing on the efficacy of strategies in improving life, and gaining insights and lessons are likewise means to show the worth of research outputs.

            Last April 30, 2023, The Rizal Memorial Colleges Inc. initially opened the series of local colloquia to showcase the studies of our Graduate School students through oral and poster presentations. This was a comeback activity after several years of being dormant or inactive due to the problematic situations brought by the Pandemic. These sorts of research utilization activities would likewise include the College, the Basic Education, and the Technical-Vocational courses and of course the Teaching and Non-Teaching forces of our institution. We are also targeting on the continuity of our national and international conferences through linkages.

            Dr. Pablo Busquit, the Dean of the Graduate School and the RRCWDC are expressing their gratitude for the assistance and cooperation of Dr. Marciano Melchor, Dr. Maricel Noquiao, Dr. Wilson Gamao, and Dr. Efren Butlig (from the group Dr. Jun Marimon) for being the reactors, Dr. Danilo Mejica and Dr. Marcelo Roco, the advisers.  Special mention is given to Dr. Marites Chan for being the prime mover, especially in the food preparation and for having most of the presenters coming from her group with Dr. Mejica.

            Our gratitude likewise is expressed to our dear President, Dr. Evelyn A. Magno and to our VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Lourdes C. Cabintoy who sent their messages of encouragement and greetings.

            Congratulations to our 13 presenters who come from the different parts of Mindanao! Thank you for accepting our pieces of advice! Thank you for giving honor to our institution! Thank you for proving that you have done one of your functions in higher education which is RESEARCH!  Pro Deo et Patria!
